US-Sanctioned Tanker Crosses Navy Line and Begins Loading Iranian Crude
A sanctioned supertanker entered the blockade zone and began loading Iranian crude. Three other VLCCs left Chabahar with unknown destinations.
A US-sanctioned VLCC crossed the US Navy blockade line while broadcasting a false position that placed it outside the restricted area, @TankerTrackers reported. The vessel is now loading two million barrels of Iranian crude oil. Further movements by National Iranian Tanker Company vessels were also recorded.
Two additional VLCCs are heading farther east and are now closer to the blockade line. Three VLCCs have departed Iran's easternmost port of Chabahar. Their current locations remain unknown. "Something's happening," the source stated.
