Iran's IRGC said it destroyed a military command-and-control centre and drone hangars in Jordan. Iran targeted Jordan with three missiles that caused no casualties. Qatar's Transport Ministry advised all marine vessels to temporarily suspend navigation and marine activities until further notice.
Qatar's Foreign Ministry stated that the strikes represent a dangerous escalation that will complicate efforts to contain tensions. Mohsen Rezaee, adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader, said the Strait of Hormuz acts as a strategic deterrent and plays a decisive role in ensuring security and national interests.
He added that Iran will protect its interests by relying on its defence capabilities and national strength.
In a separate incident in Gaza, eight-year-old Tala Jumaa Mohammad Abu Matar was killed by Israeli gunfire in central Gaza’s Maghazi refugee camp. She was taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah on the morning of July 12 and later died of her wounds.
