The Food Safety and Inspection Service warned consumers about Private Selection Honey Dijon chicken sold at Kroger and Fred Meyer stores. The 21-ounce packages carry an undeclared egg allergen and were shipped to nine states.
nypost.comcom reported. The product was manufactured on June 2, 2026, and distributed to Kroger and Fred Meyer stores in Alabama, Alaska, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Oregon, and Washington.
The affected 21-ounce vacuum-packed packages carry a best-if-used-by date of June 28, 2026, and establishment number P-45288B. The front label correctly identified the chicken, but the back label listed incorrect ingredients that included beef and sesame teriyaki marinade along with sesame, soy, and wheat allergens.
A retail employee noticed the mismatch and reported it to the manufacturer, which then notified the FSIS.
No recall was issued because the product is no longer available for purchase. The FSIS said it has received no confirmed reports of adverse reactions. Consumers who bought the chicken were advised to discard it or return it to the store.
