citizen.co.zaClub América winger Alejandro Zendejas is on the United States' 26-man roster for the 2026 World Cup. Lyon midfielder Tanner Tessmann is not included. The roster was obtained by The Guardian and verified by multiple sources with knowledge of head coach Mauricio Pochettino's selections. US Soccer declined to comment.
Mönchengladbach midfielder Gio Reyna and Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Sebastian Berhalter are included. Real Salt Lake midfielder Diego Luna is omitted. Reyna has played 520 minutes this season for his club. Berhalter earned MLS Best XI honors last year.

Chris Brady of Chicago Fire, Matt Freese of New York City, and Matt Turner. Ten defenders and four central or defensive midfielders complete the squad. Thirteen players return from the previous World Cup roster. The remaining 13 are first-time selections.
