The Hollywood ReporterGlobal talent agency UTA promoted an agent to co-head of its U.K. music group. The agent will share leadership of the London-based team with the division's long-standing co-head and will help set short- and long-term strategy. The agent joined UTA in 2015 after the company acquired The Agency Group.
Earlier roles included work at Elastic Artists and A&R duties at Candid Records, where the agent signed acts and started an in-house live booking agency.
The agent's roster includes artists such as Lizzo, Take That, John Legend, David Byrne, Jacob Collier, Underworld, The Marías, Rita Ora and Jon Batiste. UTA described the roster as spanning pop, adult contemporary, jazz, electronic and hip-hop. UTA's global music co-heads stated that London serves as a key hub for identifying touring talent and managing international tours.
They said elevating the agent reflects further investment in the London office. The new co-head said leading the group at this time is exciting and that the focus will remain on signing artists and building an inclusive team culture. The existing co-head said the agent's intelligence and instincts will help shape the next phase of the company's global music business.
