In criminal court in Provo. The judge is expected to rule on whether Deputy Utah County Attorney Christopher Ballard violated a court order. Ballard appeared on Fox News in April to discuss evidence in the case.
Washington Examiner reported the upcoming hearing centers on that television appearance. Charlie Kirk was shot and killed while speaking at a campus debate at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, in September 2025. Kirk was a conservative activist and founder of youth organization Turning Point USA.
