He previously coached the Western Hockey League's Kelowna Rockets for parts of two seasons from 2018 to 2020. Tourigny was hired by the Arizona Coyotes in 2021 and received a three-year contract extension in 2023 before the franchise relocated to Utah. The Mammoth finished the 2025-26 season with a 43-33-6 record and reached the NHL playoffs in the franchise's second season in Utah.
"André and Blaine have both been instrumental in building the foundation for our organization and will be critical in our continued success and leadership moving forward," Mammoth general manager Bill Armstrong said in a statement. "André is an excellent leader, communicator, and person, who is extremely well respected by our players and our staff.
" Tourigny said he was grateful to the organization and looked forward to deepening roots in Utah with his family.
