Freedom 250 announced the lineup for the Great American State Fair on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. , as part of the Trump administration's Freedom 250 celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. Vanilla Ice confirmed on May 29 that he will perform.

He posted a video on Instagram on May 28 expressing that he was honored and excited. In the caption he wrote: “I’m tired of all the news channels dividing this country…This is not a political platform. This is celebrating America’s birthday.

In a May 29 interview with TMZ he said he would perform even for former President Joe Biden or Russian President Vladimir Putin. Bret Michaels announced his withdrawal in an Instagram post. ” He cited “completely unfounded and unforgivable” threats and said safety concerns for his “fans, band, crew, family and myself” prompted the decision.

Martina McBride also announced her withdrawal in a social media statement. ” She stated: “I've spent my entire career singing songs about real people with real issues…It greatly upsets me that any fan who has been moved by my music may now feel like I'm abandoning the meaning behind those songs. ” It remains unclear whether Flo Rida, C+C Music Factory and Milli Vanilli will participate.

Flo Rida has not commented. C+C Music Factory frontman Freedom Williams and members of Milli Vanilli have sent conflicting signals. Organizers have encouraged those interested in attending to register for tickets ahead of time.
