Vice President JD Vance addressed sailors aboard the USS Kearsarge in New York City during the Sail4th 250 event, the New York Post reported. He thanked President Trump for reviving a proud Naval tradition. Vance spoke with New York Harbor as a backdrop after joining the International Naval Review on Saturday.
"It is a very American thing to ring in 250 years of American history by parading our naval and air force might for the world to see," he said. "Today we celebrate 250 years of America facing the future without fear," Vance stated. " At the start of the address, Vance joked that his speechwriters had prepared a nine-hour speech.
He noted the temperature reached 100 degrees during the event.
