app.buzzsumo.comVice President JD Vance is scheduled to appear on ABC's The View on Wednesday. The appearance marks the first time a sitting Republican vice president has joined the show's panel. Vance told Fox News Digital he plans to discuss his new book, Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith, and the Trump administration's recently reached agreement with Iran.
He said he hopes the hosts will engage in a direct conversation even when they disagree. "My job as vice president of the United States is not just to talk to the people who voted for me, it's to talk to the people who didn't vote for me too," Vance stated. The appearance follows repeated criticism from several co-hosts directed at Vance and his wife in prior segments.
Vance said he is approaching the interview as an opportunity for exchange rather than confrontation. He added that he remains somewhat skeptical about the tone of the discussion. Vance will be the third sitting vice president to appear on the program.
The show had 341 guests in 2025, according to a Media Research Center study cited by Fox News Digital, with two classified as conservative and 128 classified as liberal. Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin said in a separate appearance that she intends to ask about financial provisions in the Iran agreement.
Fox News Digital reached out to the program for comment but did not receive a response by publication.
