Vice President Vance Says Administration Mishandled Epstein Files Release

Vice President JD Vance said the Trump administration mishandled the release of the Epstein files during an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast Wednesday. Vance told Rogan the administration “did mishandle” the release and should have released documents “as quickly as possible,” though he noted time would still be needed to redact victim identities.

” He added that the administration especially mishandled the communications around the release. ” Rogan questioned why some redacted names did not appear to be victims. Vance responded that “some of the people who were alleged victims were also alleged co-conspirators,” making distinctions difficult.

Rogan asked Vance about negotiations with Iran.

” Vance said Iranian hardliners responded to falling oil prices in June by shooting at ships in the Strait of Hormuz. He added that President Trump believes Iran should not have a nuclear weapon, independent of any Israeli influence.

Vance defended President Trump against links to Epstein, saying he has “never” seen evidence Trump engaged in wrongdoing with minors. He said when Trump calls the files a “hoax,” he refers to the idea that he is a pedophile.
