New Video Shows Kentucky Senator Loaded Into Ambulance After Cardiac Arrest Call

A new video shows emergency responders loading a person on a stretcher into an ambulance outside the Kentucky senator's Washington, D.C., home on June 14. The footage, first reported by CNN, captures the moment responders moved the individual from the residence after dispatch audio described an unconscious person experiencing cardiac arrest with CPR underway.

The neighbor watched first responders remove a person on a stretcher from the residence roughly 30 minutes later. Videos recorded by the neighbor show the stretcher being loaded into an ambulance, with the individual's lower legs covered by an orange blanket and feet exposed.

The neighbor said the feet appeared not to be moving during the brief moment they were visible. Another resident later told the neighbor that the person on the stretcher was the senator and that he was not wearing an oxygen mask.

An EMS dispatch audio recording previously published by independent journalist Desirée Townsend indicated crews responded to the residence for an unconscious person in cardiac arrest. A spokesperson for the senator said at the time only that he had been admitted to the hospital that morning and was receiving excellent care.

The neighbor told CNN the response did not appear rushed despite the nature of the dispatch call. The commentator added that the senator was feeling OK and well enough to make the call. McConnell's office did not respond to a request for comment from The Daily Caller in time for publication.
