The Minnesota Vikings have hired Nolan Teasley as their general manager, sources told NFL Network on Saturday. Teasley spent the past 13 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, rising from intern to assistant general manager in 2023. He replaces Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, who was fired January 30, and interim general manager Rob Brzezinski.

The Wilfs decided to keep Brzezinski in the top role temporarily after the late firing of Adofo-Mensah. Brzezinski had worked for the Vikings since 1999 in salary-cap and contract roles and will now return to executive vice president of football operations.

Five finalists were considered. Teasley was the only candidate without prior ties to the Vikings or to coach Kevin O'Connell. Other finalists included Buffalo Bills assistant general manager Terrance Gray, Denver Broncos assistant general manager Reed Burckhardt, and Los Angeles Rams assistant general manager John McKay.

An NFL spokesperson confirmed to ESPN that Teasley, whose father is Black, was a minority candidate. The Seahawks will therefore receive third-round compensatory draft picks in each of the next two drafts under the Rooney Rule. The Wilfs kept a small group of advisers during the search, relying primarily on O'Connell and chief operating officer Andrew Miller.

Four adult children of the owners also joined some interviews.

Teasley graduated from Central Washington in 2007, played football through his junior year, and spent six years in business before entering the NFL. He joined the Seahawks in 2013 as an intern, later serving as pro scout, assistant director of pro personnel, and director of pro personnel.

Teasley will be the primary decision-maker on personnel matters. The organization has relied heavily on O'Connell and the coaching staff for recent draft and personnel guidance. Brzezinski had focused the recent offseason on restoring the team's financial footing after roughly $100 million in combined cap overages in 2024 and 2025.
