Voters across four states are selecting nominees today for U.S. Senate, House, and governor contests.

the Democratic primary for the U.S.

Senate features political newcomer Graham Platner against the field. Platner has faced recent accusations of past misconduct reported by The New York Times and earlier reports of personal messages sent during his marriage. He denied the accusations in an interview with Maine Public. Jared Golden in Maine's 2nd Congressional District. The winner will face former Gov. Paul LePage in November.

Democrats and seven Republicans are running to succeed term-limited Gov. Janet Mills. Attorney and former Navy intelligence officer Bobby Charles leads the Republican side.

Nevada Governor Primary Nevada Gov.

Joe Lombardo faces a primary challenge but is expected to advance. Democratic Attorney General Aaron Ford is among those seeking the nomination to face Lombardo in November.

South Carolina Governor Primary Lt. Gov.

Pamela Evette holds an endorsement from President Trump in the Republican primary for governor. Other candidates include four-term Attorney General Alan Wilson and U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace. Three Democrats are also competing for their party's nomination.
