thewrap.comWarner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and DC Studios announced on Thursday the opening of Superman Experience: Defenders Unite, a walkthrough attraction with gameplay elements, at the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, California.
The attraction will open on April 18, designated as Superman Day. It will be located at Stage 5 on the studio lot. The experience includes an original storyline set in the world of the 2025 Superman film directed by James Gunn.
Guests will visit the Fortress of Solitude, where they are recruited by Superman for a mission and granted simulated Kryptonian powers. Using motion-capture technology, 3D glasses, and high-definition audio, participants will simulate flying to locations such as the Kent family farm for training before engaging in a battle against the supervillain Darkseid.
Participants' scores will be displayed as they progress through the storyline with their team.
The attraction lasts one hour and can be purchased as a stand-alone ticket or as an add-on to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. James Gunn commented on the announcement via a post on Threads.
“Team up with Superman to protect the world. This attraction was made with a lot of love for Superman. Hope to see you there!”
The central hub of the attraction features a Fortress of Solitude theme with additional activities and photo opportunities. It includes a lounge offering snacks and beverages, a life-size animatronic of Gary, the robot formerly known as 4, and a mini-game involving Krypto, Superman's superpowered dog.
A Daily Planet-themed store will offer souvenirs. The announcement follows reports on casting for Man of Tomorrow, the sequel to the 2025 Superman film. Deadline reported on Wednesday that actors were being considered for the role of Maxima, an alien queen from the planet Almerac.
" Subsequent reports from Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter indicated that Adria Arjona, Eva De Dominici, Sydney Chandler, and Grace Van Patten are among the actors testing for the role in the Superman sequel. The attraction provides fans with an interactive way to engage with Superman elements ahead of the film's release.
Tickets are available for purchase through Warner Bros. channels.
