One resident counted as many as 50 vehicles passing through a single cul-de-sac in one hour.
Another reported eight vehicles becoming stuck while attempting to turn around after neighbors placed a sign in the road.
Waymo stated it has addressed the routing behavior and is committed to being a good neighbor. The company said its service has completed over 500,000 weekly trips nationwide and has reduced traffic injuries. Residents have contacted Waymo and local officials but report they have not yet received responses. U.S. markets including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin, and Miami.
