Tropical Storm Caloy, internationally known as Hagupit, entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 6 pm on May 9, 2026, becoming the third tropical cyclone to do so this year. As of 10 pm that evening, the storm was located 870 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao, moving west northwest at 20 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h and gustiness of up to 80 km/h.
Caloy is not bringing rain to any part of the Philippines, and no tropical cyclone wind signals are in effect as of May 9, 2026.
