High-net-worth individuals are turning to professional matchmaking services as an alternative to dating apps. Agencies report rising demand for services that screen potential partners and arrange introductions based on detailed client criteria. Berkeley International offers UK-only introductions starting at £15,000 for one year and global searches beginning at £40,000.

Private searches that include specific requirements such as diet, location, and profession start at £70,000. Demand for these services has increased 200 percent since the pandemic.

Global director Mairead Molloy said successful professionals often apply business skills to relationships in ways that reduce intimacy. She added that the agency provides style, lifestyle, and psychological guidance in addition to introductions. Berkeley International reports a 90 percent success rate for its private search clients.

Ivy Relations founder Inga Verbeeck said clients pay upwards of £100,000 for services that include headhunter research and direct outreach to potential matches. Clients receive at least 45 profiles and nine introductions after screening. Verbeeck noted that requests often combine multiple specific criteria including education, appearance, hobbies, geography, and political views.

Partnership founder Hayley Bystram said people in their thirties now form a key growth segment. She stated that many clients feel disconnected despite frequent travel and access to private clubs. Bystram said the firm provides strategy and ongoing feedback to help clients build relationships.

Molloy described one case in which a client specified exactly twelve matches over four months with requirements for finance and legal backgrounds. The client later married someone met independently during travel. The UK wellness economy reached $224 billion in 2022 according to Global Wellness Institute data.
