White Sox Reach 50-45 Record and Share AL Central Lead at 2026 All-Star Break
The Chicago White Sox stand at 50-45 and tied for first in the AL Central. Their performance has created the largest futures liabilities for multiple sportsbooks while the New York Mets have produced the largest losses for bettors.

At the 2026 All-Star break the Chicago White Sox hold a 50-45 record and share first place in the American League Central with the Cleveland Guardians, ESPN reported. The team has already surpassed its preseason over/under win total of 67.5. Preseason futures priced the White Sox at 16-1 to reach the postseason and 35-1 to win the division.
Those lines have shortened to -115 and +200, respectively. A bettor who placed a moneyline wager on Chicago in every game through the break would be ahead 11.59 units, aided by average odds of +112. Sportsbooks now list the White Sox among their largest liabilities across futures markets.
Caesars Sportsbook reports the team as its biggest adjustment from preseason World Series, division and other futures prices. Eric Biggio of Caesars said many bettors placed wagers on the White Sox to win the division at 25-1. DraftKings Sportsbook lists Chicago as its largest liability to win the American League pennant.
The New York Mets present the opposite picture. Their record stands at 40-57, well below the preseason over/under total of 90.5. World Series odds have lengthened from 13-1 to 400-1.
Eric Biggio said the Mets were one of the teams that generated the most early revenue for Caesars because bettors continued to back them as favorites while they lost. He added that Caesars is "pretty safe" on its New York Mets futures positions. Johnny Avello of DraftKings said bettors are largely afraid to lay a price on the Mets.
The Los Angeles Dodgers opened the season at +230 World Series odds and now sit at +190. The New York Yankees moved from 10-1 to +550. BetMGM reports 21.9 percent of World Series handle on the Dodgers and 9.1 percent on the Yankees.
