Chinese artist WINWIN has terminated his contract with SM Entertainment after more than 10 years. The company announced the decision on Weverse, with his NCT activities concluding July 9. He will pursue solo music and acting work in China.
ForbesSM Entertainment announced Wednesday that Chinese artist Dong Sicheng, known as WINWIN, has ended his exclusive contract with the company. The termination takes effect after more than 10 years with the label, Forbes reported. The announcement, posted on Weverse from Seoul on Wednesday afternoon, stated that WINWIN will conclude all activities as an NCT member on July 9.
SM Entertainment thanked fans for their continued support and expressed gratitude for the time shared since his trainee days. WINWIN debuted with NCT in 2016 and performed with NCT U and NCT 127 until 2018. He joined the group's Chinese unit WayV in 2019.
He has been on indefinite hiatus from the groups since 2021, when he moved back to China to focus on acting. In China, WINWIN established Beijing Zhaoyao Culture Media Studio and starred in the drama Sweet Games. He later appeared in Snowfall, Perfect Match, A Splendid Match, and the film Blades of the Guardians.
He is scheduled to star in three additional dramas. WINWIN will continue solo activities under his personal studio and Yuekai Entertainment. The contract decision follows similar moves by other NCT members, including Mark Lee, who left SM Entertainment and the group in April 2026, and TEN, who formed his own company for solo work while remaining with NCT and WayV for group activities.
