WiredWired reported this week that Meta contractors posed as children and teenagers to test responses from Gemini and ChatGPT to prompts about suicide, sex, and drugs. The same investigation noted a researcher who used Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.7 to access Front Gate’s website and issue tickets for festivals including Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.
Security researcher Tyler Murphy discovered a flaw in Apple’s Hide My Email service in June 2025 that can reveal users’ real email addresses.
Limited tests by Murphy and 404 Media found every Hide My Email address exploitable. Murphy first reported the issue to Apple in summer 2025. Apple stated in March 2026 that the problem had been addressed, yet later told Murphy it remained under investigation.
Apple did not respond to 404 Media’s request for comment. The Department of Justice announced that nineteen-year-old Estonian-U.S. dual citizen Peter Stokes was arrested in Finland in April 2026 and extradited to face charges of computer intrusion, conspiracy, and fraud tied to the Scattered Spider group.
