Wolverhampton Wanderers Sign Rafiki Said from Standard Liege

Wolverhampton Wanderers signed 26-year-old left winger Rafiki Said from Standard Liege, bbc.co.uk reported. The club agreed to an undisclosed transfer fee and a three-year contract that includes an option for a fourth year. The move is the third player addition for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the current transfer window and the first completed by new head coach Cesar Peixoto.

Said scored eight goals and supplied five assists in 37 appearances during his single season in the Belgian top flight. Said made his senior debut with Brest in September 2021. He later played for Nimes and Troyes before moving to Belgium last summer.

The Comoros international featured in every minute of his country's Africa Cup of Nations campaign in December 2025 and captained the side on his most recent appearance. He has scored eight goals in 21 international matches. "He's a fast player and one-versus-one running is a very important characteristic for us, so he's one player more to help us build a big family and team to fight," Peixoto told the club website.
