A witness told police the car had been left without the parking brake engaged, and completing the circuit caused it to lurch forward. Police and an ambulance responded to the scene. The woman was taken to the nearby Regional Hospital for evaluation.
The victim survived without fractures or serious injuries, according to local media. She has not been identified. Security footage was collected by officers. The vehicle was seized for forensic examination of its brakes and transmission to determine whether the incident resulted from mechanical failure or human error.
