People were arrested in connection with the incident.
A 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were held near Stockport, Greater Manchester, and a 30-year-old man was arrested in Sheffield. They remain in custody. Ch Supt Jamie Henderson said the force is working around the clock to identify everyone involved. The woman has not been named by police, but her family has been informed.
