WWE Releases Multiple Wrestlers Including Wyatt Sicks Members and Aleister Black

WWE released multiple wrestlers from its roster on Friday. The releases included the entire Wyatt Sicks stable, comprising Bo Dallas, known as "Uncle Howdy," Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross. The group formed months after the death of Bray Wyatt, whose real name was Windham Rotunda and who was Bo Dallas' brother.

Wyatt Sicks members Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy held the WWE Tag Team Championship for 196 days before losing it earlier this year on SmackDown to Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.

Aleister Black had previously worked in WWE and then in All Elite Wrestling as Malachi Black for over four years before returning to WWE last April. Zelina Vega worked for WWE from 2017 to 2020 as Andrade's manager, had a run as Queen Zelina from 2021 to 2022, and was involved with Legado Del Fantasma and Latino World Order for four years before accompanying Aleister Black.

com, other releases included Alba Fyre, Zoey Stark, Kairi Sane, and Santos Escobar. Alba Fyre appeared in TV segments as part of Chelsea Green's security detail. Kairi Sane partnered with Asuka in The Kabuki Warriors and had a feud with Iyo Sky.

and Asuka were on standby for WrestleMania 42 to potentially replace an injured Nikki Bella as Brie Bella's partner in a Fatal Four-Way match if Paige was unavailable. WWE also parted ways with the tag team Motor City Machine Guns and Andre Chase, leader of NXT's Chase U group.

The releases happened just before WWE SmackDown aired and less than a week after WrestleMania 42, where none of the released wrestlers appeared on the match card. Some of the released wrestlers may seek opportunities with other promotions such as All Elite Wrestling or TNA, which collaborates with WWE on events.
