X is identifying large accounts that have been programmatically reuploading content from smaller accounts to game its revenue-share program. X's head of product, Nikita Bier, said the platform is now allocating impressions from those posts entirely to the original creators.

Bier stated that users should use the "Share Video" or "Quote" feature for posts that include added commentary to ensure attribution reaches the original account. The company has reduced revenue payouts for accounts found repeatedly posting unattributed material.

Saturday, X applied a community note to a post by Mario Nawfal, CEO of IBC Group, stating the video had been posted without credit. Nawfal replied that his account uses the video reshare option, but the feature does not work for longer posts. A second community note listed three additional recent posts from the account and stated it does not consistently provide credit.
