Xi delivered a similar message to the Cambodian leader and stated that China supported a negotiated outcome. The border dispute centers on competing territorial claims over an ancient temple complex.
Fighting last year resulted in more than 100 military and civilian deaths and hundreds of injuries. A ceasefire reached in December 2025 has largely held, though both sides continue to accuse each other of breaches, South China Morning Post reported.
