Xi and Putin Criticize Trump Missile Defense Plan and Nuclear Policy

U.S. President Donald Trump’s planned Golden Dome missile defense shield and Washington’s nuclear policy. A joint statement said the ground- and space-based interceptor system would threaten global strategic stability. U.S. and Russian nuclear arsenals to expire in February.

Xi welcomed Putin with an honor guard and gun salute at the Great Hall of the People. Children waved Chinese and Russian flags during the ceremony. The two leaders have met more than 40 times. Both sides signed a declaration calling for a more just global governance system and warning against fragmentation of the international community. ” Xi said the relationship had deepened through political trust and strategic cooperation.
