Yankees Host Guardians to Open Three-Game Series

The Yankees enter the series 17-9 at home after scoring 51 runs and hitting .310 during a 5-1 road trip against the Kansas City Royals and the Athletics. New York shortstop Anthony Volpe said the offensive output showed what the lineup can do in multiple ways.

Left-hander Joey Cantillo starts for Cleveland a week after his shortest outing of the season. Cleveland general manager Chris Antonetti said third baseman Jose Ramirez has shown continued progress at the plate in recent days.
