The New York Yankees placed infielder Ryan McMahon on the 10-day injured list due to a throat infection and recalled utility player Oswaldo Cabrera from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on June 24, ESPN reported. The roster moves took place before the Yankees completed a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers in Detroit.
McMahon had been scratched from the lineup on June 23 because of the ear and throat infection.
