New York City officials have invited San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama to attend a Commission on Government Efficiency hearing on June 10. m. at Fordham University in the Bronx and ends 30 minutes before Game 4 tipoff at Madison Square Garden.
Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani posted the invitation on social media on June 3. The post stated the event would seek public input on improving government operations.
Center also invited Wembanyama to a Sunday screening of the film "1900," which runs five-and-a-half hours. The screening was offered for the period when Wembanyama would be in New York for a work-related trip. m. at Madison Square Garden, with Game 4 set for the same time on Wednesday.
Wembanyama averaged 27.3 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game during the Western Conference finals.
