New York Giants add wide receivers at mandatory minicamp

The New York Giants opened mandatory minicamp this week with three wide receivers who were not on the roster last season. The group included two free-agent signings and one third-round draft pick. Coaching comments on depth "Well, I'm excited about the group, especially when we're healthy," coach John Harbaugh said. "If you get Malik out there, you got I would say arguably -- I know his goal is to be the best in the league. And after that we got some guys, man.

" "They're practicing well, as you see. All those guys are practicing well. The guys we brought in in free agency. We drafted a really good player [in Fields]. We'll get Darius back, another guy. " The five players Harbaugh referenced are the two recovering starters, the two free-agent additions, and the third-round draft pick.
