Goldman holds endorsements from Governor Kathy Hochul and House Democratic leadership. In the 13th District, community activist Darializa Avila Chevalier is challenging Representative Adriano Espaillat. Avila Chevalier’s backers include Mamdani and the Justice Democrats.
Espaillat has support from Hochul, state Attorney General Letitia James and the state AFL-CIO. The open 7th District seat, vacated by retiring Representative Nydia Velázquez, pits Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso against state Assemblymember Claire Valdez.
Both candidates have received backing from Mamdani.
Utah will hold one Democratic House primary on the same day.
Republican races include South Carolina governor runoff In South Carolina, Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette and state Attorney General Alan Wilson advanced to a runoff for the Republican nomination for governor. President Trump endorsed both candidates after the June 9 primary.
