New Zealand Posts NZD 23 Million June Trade Surplus as Exports Fall
The country posted a smaller-than-previously-estimated surplus after revisions cut both exports and the prior period balance. Imports remained nearly unchanged at NZD 8.07 billion.

New Zealand recorded a trade surplus of NZD 23 million in June, down from the previously reported NZD 800 million and a revised NZD 577 million for the prior period. Exports totaled NZD 8.09 billion, below the earlier NZD 8.88 billion figure and the revised NZD 8.65 billion. Imports came in at NZD 8.07 billion, little changed from the prior NZD 8.08 billion and the revised NZD 8.07 billion.
The 12-month year-to-date trade balance stood at a deficit of NZD 3.746 billion, wider than the previously reported NZD 3.367 billion deficit and the revised NZD 3.610 billion deficit. @LiveSquawk reported the figures.
