ImmunityBio Inc. reported record first-quarter revenue of $21.07 million, more than tripling from $7 million in the year-ago period, driven by increased net trade sales of Anktiva. The company also posted a 168 percent increase in Anktiva unit sales volume, reflecting ongoing commercial activities for the bladder cancer treatment.
The biotechnology company reported a first-quarter GAAP loss of 62 cents per share, wider than the consensus estimate of a 7 cent loss. On an adjusted basis, ImmunityBio reported a loss of 8 cents per share. In response to the performance, the company lowered its full-year 2026 financial guidance.
ImmunityBio positioned the Anktiva momentum as a bright spot. The revenue surge and unit sales growth came even as the per-share loss remained wider than anticipated. Zoetis separately reported Q1 2026 earnings that fell short of Wall Street forecasts for the three months ended March 31 and cut its outlook for the remainder of 2026, with its stock falling in response.
The results for both companies highlighted performance across the health care sector in the opening months of 2026. ImmunityBio exceeded sales expectations.
