Tara Polar Station Departs Lorient for Arctic Ice Drift Mission
The research station left the French port Sunday afternoon to drift with sea ice for 350 to 500 days. Twelve countries are participating in the expedition to study Arctic biodiversity and the effects of rapid warming.
