Ottawa Councillors Seek Ontario Fire Code Changes for Lithium-Ion Battery Storage
Ottawa city councillors have asked the province to strengthen fire code rules for indoor charging and storage of e-bikes and other lithium-ion battery devices. The request follows 54 battery-related fires responded to by Ottawa Fire Services since 2024.
