No cervical-cancer deaths recorded in England among women aged 20-24 from 2020 to 2024, though uptake has fallen since COVID
New Scientist reported zero cervical cancer deaths in that age group for the first time, linked to high HPV vaccine uptake since 2008. Researchers estimate around 200 deaths prevented so far in England. The study was published in The Lancet.
