New York Governor Seeks to Delay State Climate Emissions Targets
Governor Kathy Hochul is proposing changes to the 2019 Climate Act during budget talks. The plan would shift the 40 percent emissions cut target from 2030 to a 60 percent cut by 2040. The 85 percent reduction goal for 2050 would remain unchanged.
