Two Climbers Scale Empire State Building, Unfurl Banner, and Are Taken Into Custody
Two masked people reached the antenna of the 1,454-foot Empire State Building on July 1 and displayed a banner reading "When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace." One appeared to propose before the pair descended, embraced and were taken into custody.
