Virginia Governor Signs Law to Raise Minimum Wage to $15 per Hour by 2028

Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger signed a law on Thursday to increase the state's minimum wage from $12.77 to $13.75 next year and to $15 in 2028. A study by the Employment Policies Institute estimated that the change could result in 12,000 job losses.
