IOC Adds Two Freeride Events and Synchronized Skating but Drops Nordic Combined for 2030
The International Olympic Committee approved new events for the 2030 Winter Olympics while removing Nordic combined. The Games will feature gender parity and 3,046 athletes across 126 events. Restrictions on Russian participation in team events for 2028 were also lifted.
