Kaaba Draped in 670 kg Silk Kiswah for Hajj Pilgrimage
More than 1.5 million pilgrims began the annual Hajj in Mecca on 25 May 2026. The Kaaba is covered by a black silk cloth called the Kiswah that weighs about 670 kg and is embroidered with gold and silver thread.
