007 First Light Releases as Action Game from Hitman Studio

IO Interactive released 007 First Light on May 27, 2026. The game places players in an origin story for the James Bond character and runs for approximately 20 hours. The title uses the Glacier engine shared with the Hitman series. Environments feature breakable objects, moving papers, and lingering smoke during gameplay.

Missions range from tracking targets in London nightclubs to infiltrating a Slovakian castle during a chess tournament. One sequence requires raising $100,000 inside a fictional Mauritanian pirate den through activities that include fist fights and gambling.

Players may carry up to three devices per mission, such as a laser watch or nausea darts. Overheard conversations can create opportunities to assume identities or obtain identification cards.

James provides the voice for instructor Greenway. Lenny Kravitz appears as Bawma, a character with roughly five minutes of screen time. The game is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox, with a Switch 2 version listed as in development.
