11 Charged With Violent Disorder After Protest Over Murder of British Teenager Henry Nowak

British police charged six more people with violent disorder on Saturday in connection with a protest in Southampton. The new charges bring the total number of people facing disorder offences related to the protest to 11. The protest took place on Tuesday in the English southern coastal city.

Some of the hundreds of people attending the demonstration pelted police with chairs, cans, rocks and flares. Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old university student, was stabbed to death in Southampton in December 2025. Police body-worn video showed officers handcuffing Nowak while he was wounded, moments before he became unconscious and died.

Officers initially treated the wounded man as a suspect before noticing his injury and attempting resuscitation. Vickrum Digwa, 23, was convicted of murder for stabbing Nowak with a Sikh dagger. Digwa falsely told police he was the victim of a racist assault by Nowak.
