Iran's ambassador to Mexico, Abolfazl Pasandideh, told reporters the team can enter in the morning and must depart the same day. The squad arrived in Mexico after the change in plans. Israeli forces reported two soldiers killed during operations in southern Lebanon on June 6.

One died from injuries sustained earlier; the second was killed in an operational activity. Air-raid alerts sounded in northern Israel after a reported hostile aircraft intrusion near Margaliot. Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry condemned continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon and expressed condolences to families of Lebanese army personnel killed in recent strikes.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry called the attack on a Lebanese army patrol a dangerous escalation and urged compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701. Pakistan's interior minister, Mohsin Naqvi, met Iran's interior minister, Eskandar Momeni, in Tehran. The two sides agreed to raise bilateral trade to $10 billion and discussed border security, counter-narcotics, and counter-terrorism.

Naqvi delivered a letter from Pakistan's army chief and prime minister to Iran's supreme leader concerning the current situation. A Hezbollah member of Lebanon's parliament said any ceasefire must cover all parts of Lebanon, including the south. S. administration has decided Israel will have a free hand in southern Lebanon for the time being.
