A 15-year-old opener scored 14 from 10 balls on debut for India before England chased down 191 to win the second T20I by four wickets at Emirates Old Trafford. The teenager walked out to open the batting in front of a majority Indian crowd in Manchester.
He faced another debutant in the first over, then struck two sixes, one off Jofra Archer and one off Josh Tongue, before being stumped attempting a charge against Will Jacks.
Sharma added 43 before Sam Curran dismissed him.
Curran finished with three for 33 after also removing Ishan Kishan for 49 and Shivam Dube for five. India reached 190 for six.
Singh dismissed Phil Salt and Jos Buttler for ducks in the opening over. Harry Brook countered with 39 from 15 balls before England slipped to 51 for three. Jacob Bethell arrived at that point and remained unbeaten on 76 from 46 balls, striking five fours and five sixes. He capitalized on two free hits in the 17th over after Ravi Bishnoi conceded 29 runs.
