The 2026 FIFA World Cup began June 11 with group stage matches involving 48 national teams. The expanded field includes every former champion except Italy plus four first-time participants. Matches are scheduled across three host countries through July 19. The group stage runs through June 27, followed by a round of 32, round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, third-place match and final.

Additional results through June 20 include Germany defeating Curacao 7-1, England defeating Croatia 4-2, and Canada defeating Qatar 6-0.
21, Tunisia faces Japan at 12 a.m.
Eastern, Spain faces Saudi Arabia at 12 p.m., Belgium faces Iran at 3 p.m., Uruguay faces Cabo Verde at 6 p.m., and New Zealand faces Egypt at 9 p.m. Matches continue daily through June 27 with the final group stage games scheduled for that date.
