The 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage concludes June 27, with the top two teams from each group plus the eight best third-place sides advancing to the Round of 32 beginning June 28. Matches are being played in 16 venues across the United States, Mexico and Canada. The expanded 48-team field has created additional betting markets on group winners, top scorers and individual awards.
France opened at +370 to win the tournament after two wins and four goals from Kylian Mbappe. Manager Didier Deschamps will miss the final group match against Norway following a family death. Spain sits at +500 after a 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia. Argentina is +600, powered by Lionel Messi’s five goals in two matches.
Messi is +175 to win the Golden Boot. England is +650 despite two draws. Harry Kane has one goal so far.
Germany has already clinched first place in Group E. The Netherlands leads Group F at -450 to win the group. The United States has secured first place in Group D and will face Turkiye on June 25 at SoFi Stadium. Norway is +3000 to win the tournament after four goals from Erling Haaland and sits second in Group I behind France.
The Golden Boot is awarded to the top goal scorer, with ties broken by assists then minutes played. Messi, Mbappe and Haaland are the top three favorites. The Golden Ball recognizes the tournament’s best player overall. Past winners include Messi in 2014 and 2022.
The Golden Glove is given to the best goalkeeper. Emiliano Martinez of Argentina won the award in 2022. The FIFA Young Player Award honors the best performer under age 21. Lamine Yamal of Spain is among the leading candidates. The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
