A global network of 425 organizations is coordinating 736 protest events this weekend across 39 countries to mark what organizers call "Nakba 78," the anniversary of Israel's founding on May 14, 1948. The protests are scheduled in cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London and Sydney.

The United States is the largest hub with 187 events, followed by the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Canada, Spain, France, Ireland and Australia. Fox News Digital reported that the organizations include communist groups, Muslim advocacy organizations and anti-Israel activist coalitions.

The groups have a combined annual revenue footprint of about $1 billion. " The protests are not focused on a ceasefire or two-state solution, according to an analysis of mobilization materials by Fox News Digital. Instead, the campaign calls for the dismantling of the state of Israel, an arms embargo, an end to U.S. aid to Israel, and the right of return for millions of Palestinians in the diaspora.

These groups have organized anti-Israel protests in the United States, particularly since the Oct. 7, 2023, attack by Hamas. The People's Forum held an "art build" in New York City on Friday to prepare signs for Saturday's protest. Sen. , told Fox News Digital that she is concerned about the Chinese Communist Party and its sympathizers using U.S. nonprofits to create infrastructure that undermines the United States.

"One of the things we know about the Singham group and about the Chinese Communist Party is they are going to look for a fellow bad actor… and they're going to try to partner with them in causing chaos in our cities," Blackburn said. U.S. Treasury, Justice and State Department officials are investigating the funding structures and operations of the nonprofits supported by Singham.

Lawmakers in the House Judiciary, Oversight and Ways and Means committees are also examining whether the network has violated laws requiring agents of foreign interests to register with the Justice Department.

In the San Francisco Bay Area, University of California, Berkeley lecturer Hatem Bazian is scheduled to speak at a three-day conference titled "Islam, Memory and the Nakba" in Burlingame, Oakland and Los Gatos. In Brooklyn, the Palestinian Youth Movement, Al-Awda and Within Our Lifetime are continuing a "Nakba Week of Action" that included protests near synagogues earlier this week.

In London, police are preparing for a major march amid warnings about potential hate speech and public disorder. In Sydney, organizers are calling for a protest at town hall under the slogan "Stop the Genocide!
